A whole house remodel in 2019 included an enlarged kitchen, primary suite, laundry/mud room and more. Fire damage two years later required starting over. The owners rebuilt much of what they loved from the original renovation, while also enhancing the home’s design and functionality.
Originally inherited from the owner’s father, the house underwent a whole-home renovation to meet the evolving needs of its new owners. Merging the kitchen, formal dining room and living room created an inviting one-level layout with an open floor plan. At its heart is the stunning 12-foot kitchen island with specialized storage and seating for four. It is the home’s natural gathering spot.
To make the owners’ suite more functional, space was reallocated from the adjacent hall bath to the primary bath. The additional space allowed for a new double vanity, spacious walk-in shower and luxurious free-standing soaking tub.
After the fire, the rebuilding effort allowed to owners to focus on what they truly wanted their home to be. The screened porch was transformed into a peaceful and airy four-season room that can be enjoyed year-round. They also took the opportunity to modify other spaces in the home such as the mudroom/laundry room, family room fireplace wall and dining room bar.
