Modern Metamorphosis
No strangers to extreme home renovations, the owners had undergone three major remodels in the past 30 years. Most recently, a dramatic exterior renovation including new ceramic panel siding, new doors and new oversize, triple-pane windows. The bold transformation from traditional to ultra-contemporary reflects the owners’ taste and the modern aesthetic throughout the rest of the home.

In between the three major remodels, the owners updated their primary bath, laundry room, porch, basement and kitchen to give the home a sleek and modern feel. The bright orange exterior reflects the vibrant and contemporary interior decor.
Extensive travelers, the owners have curated art and collectibles from all over the world. Their style ranges
from sophisticated to quirky, but their favorite aesthetic is the style and simplicity of Japanese design. This was the main influence for the home’s exterior design and landscaping.
The result is a home fully integrated with its surroundings. The water features and wildlife can be enjoyed from every room.
The patio, deck and extensive landscaping create a calm and restorative environment. The new backyard patio is easily accessed from the sunroom.
New oversize, triple pane, single unit windows were paramount in creating the smooth look required for the modular/block design.
Creating and engineering the cantilever window within the existing primary bedroom space was a challenging yet pivotal part of the overall home design and function.
The window looks striking from outside and creates a unique and immersive spot to sit inside. “Your crew is great,” said the owner. “Very good workers, very timely and very considerate.”
