The owners began a whole house refresh of their new townhome with the remodel of two bathrooms, the basement and home office. A few years later, they were ready to tackle the kitchen.
The kitchen was small and narrow, with dark cabinets and a bulky island. It lacked custom storage and newer amenities. Though they couldn’t add square footage, the owners felt the kitchen could feel more spacious with a better layout. They also wanted to inject some color and whimsy to match the rest of their home’s eclectic style.
The new lime green island is the kitchen’s cheerful centerpiece. Its bold, saturated color is balanced by cool white cabinets, white countertops and matte black fixtures. The new island is better suited for the space and still large enough to accommodate seating. The glossy green base and polished quartz create an ultra-modern, super-sleek look. The kitchen feels fresh and energized.
