Spring in Minnesota means a lot of things — warmer temps, longer days and, if you’re a dog owner, muddy paws! As the homeowners planned their lower level laundry room renovation, the item at the top of their list was a dedicated dog wash/shower to bathe their three Great Danes.
The unfinished basement in their Lake Nokomis home was transformed into a large and luxurious laundry room. The new multi-purpose space features custom storage, pet feeding and bathing areas and even a craft table/gift-wrapping station.
The laundry room is located just inside the walk-out basement with access to the backyard. Removing the old refrigerator and relocating the laundry tub allowed space to add a new custom dog wash. The dog wash is convenient and accessible, making bathing as easy as possible — though the dogs might sometimes disagree!
The owner loves the new space and even held a housewarming party to show it off! “It’s my favorite new
room in the house,” she said. “I love to talk about it and show it off! It’s so functional and pretty.”
