Thanks for stopping out!
Thank you to all of our visitors at the Spring Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase®. If you missed the Showcase weekend, photos of our home, as well as past Showcase homes, can be viewed on our website.
Focusing on an open floor plan and repurposed spaces, the entire main level of this 1960s home was remodeled to reflect our clients’ changing needs and today’s casual living. After removing three interior walls, doubling the kitchen’s size, adding a library, enclosed sunroom, remodeled powder room and main floor laundry/mud room, the home is perfectly tailored to the next phase of their lives.
Removing a wall and incorporating the den’s square footage into the kitchen allowed space for everything on the owners’ wish list including custom storage, luxury appliances and a huge island with seating. The unused formal dining room was transformed into a warm and inviting library. The old screen porch was enclosed, with half the space becoming a cheery sunroom and the other half a main floor laundry. Custom built-ins include a glass-front cabinet in the piano room, bookshelves in the library, a wine cabinet, desk and mudroom bench/storage.
With grandkids living across the street, the owners love the bright open spaces and family-friendly finishes. See for yourself – when Plekkenpol Builders remodels your home, “The Difference is in the Details.”
