A whole house remodel in 2019 included an enlarged kitchen, primary suite, laundry/mud room and more. Fire damage two years later required starting over. The owners rebuilt much of what they loved from the original renovation, while also enhancing the home’s design and functionality.
The house, which the homeowners had inherited from the owner’s resistant-to-change father, required extensive renovations to meet their present and future needs. Specifically, they sought to create a functional, one-level layout with an open floor plan.
By merging the kitchen and formal dining room, the kitchen’s size doubled, allowing for the addition of a spacious 12-foot island. Similarly, in the primary suite, the reallocation of space resulted in a larger bathroom with a luxurious free-standing soaking tub.
The sunroom and mudroom/laundry boast custom cabinetry and millwork, new flooring and shiplap accent walls. The home has been restored to its original warmth and beauty. Classic finishes and meaningful details reflect the journey. See for yourself – when Plekkenpol Builders remodels your home, “The Difference is in the Details.”
